"The Gift Given"

The original painting of “The Gift Given” was created to honor our

beloved pug named Emma. She was a gift in our lives and left a

lasting impression on our hearts. There wasn’t a moment that Emma didn’t bring a smile to the face of anyone she encountered.

She was a happy soul and will be forever missed.

After her passing I began to think of the love Emma received from my partner Ken and myself and I felt that this love did not need to end with her passing. I decided that the painting I would create for Ken, in Emma's memory, would emulate her kind spirit and her gift to brighten a room with her mere presence.

I know Emma would want her gift of love to continue.

With that in mind, I decided to partner with the SPCA of Texas, an organization that helps provide shelter and safety for animals that have

fallen into tough situations. This organization offers hope to many dogs, cats, and other animals they shelter in hopes that they too can find the kind of love and warmth that Emma experienced. Teaming with the SPCA adoption program is truly an honor. I feel that this partnership will provide a

legacy to the little pug that meant so much to me.

To help with the cause, Craighead Green Gallery and I are producing 1,000 Limited Edition Giclee prints titled “The Gift Given”. We will be

donating 25% of all proceeds to the SPCA of Texas. The money raised will be immeasurable in the services and aid that it will provide. In return, you will receive a piece of art that will forever tell a story about the powerful gift of love.
